Begin Sending Updates Before You Reach the Field

There's nothing worse than sitting on MailChimp and looking at a blank email template. You know you need to send an update to your financial partners, but you're still raising funds and you feel like you have no ministry impact to report. What do you do?

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T AVOID AN UPDATE.

Definitely communicate how your fundraising is going. Hopefully the amount of your funding has increased since your last update, but even if it hasn't, you still have options.

One of the best ways to communicate the impact and excitement of ministry, if it's still in the future for you, is by connecting people to the impact already being made. It's likely you're joining a team of people already making an impact, so connect your financial partners to what's already happening in that location. Show them the lives being changed, even without you being there, they can still get excited about what's happening.

When you connect people immediately, you communicate the way all of you get to be a part of something bigger than any of you. What a great opportunity!
